SUMMARY:Old Hispanic Office Composition Competition Workshops
DESCRIPTION:Benedict’s piece Effun­dum spir­itum meum has been selec­ted to be per­formed in the work­shops organ­ised as part of the Old His­pan­ic Office’s com­pos­i­tion com­pet­i­tion. The piece\, which was writ­ten for the com­pet­i­tion in the sum­mer of 2015\, will be work­shopped by the Christ Church Cathed­ral Choir along­side pieces by oth­er short-lis­ted com­posers in the chapel of St Peter’s Col­lege\, Oxford on the 7 March (15:00 – 15:30) and 8 March (12:00 – 12:30). \nAs well as the Oxford work­shops\, there will also be work­shop ses­sions in Bris­tol over the pre­ced­ing week­end at which oth­er short-lis­ted pieces will be worked on by both the Bris­tol Cathed­ral Choir (in the Lord May­or’s Chapel\, Bris­tol) and the Kokoro Ensemble (in the Vic­tor­ia Rooms). Apart from the per­formers and com­posers\, all attendees will need to provide their own lunches. Please be aware that record­ing will be in pro­gress dur­ing the work­shop ses­sions; audi­ence mem­bers will need to listen quietly without mak­ing a disturbance.
