All Saints\u2019 church, Stamford<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

I am delighted to announce that, from early Janu\u00adary 2024, I will be tak\u00ading up the post of Dir\u00adect\u00ador of Music at the church of All Saints\u2019, Stamford.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All Saints\u2019, which is at the heart of the town of Stam\u00adford on the Lin\u00adcolnshire-Cam\u00adbridge\u00adshire-Rut\u00adland bor\u00adder, has an estab\u00adlished chor\u00adal tra\u00addi\u00adtion. There is cur\u00adrently an adult SATB<\/span> par\u00adish choir, and we will soon be re-form\u00ading the chil\u00addren\u2019s Juni\u00ador Choir as the church seeks to expand and devel\u00adop its music\u00adal min\u00adistry. I am thrilled to have been appoin\u00adted to lead the expan\u00adsion and growth of All Saints\u2019 music pro\u00adgramme, work\u00ading towards real\u00adising the church\u2019s com\u00admun\u00adal vis\u00adion of becom\u00ading a flag\u00adship resource church in the Lin\u00adcoln dio\u00adcese, where music plays a cent\u00adral role at the heart of the wor\u00adship\u00adping com\u00admunity and loc\u00adal area. I am incred\u00adibly excited to see what we can all devel\u00adop and build together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

This move will involve bid\u00adding farewell to Great St Mary\u2019s, where I have worked for the last sev\u00aden years: six as Organ\u00adist and Assist\u00adant Dir\u00adect\u00ador of Music and one as Inter\u00adim Dir\u00adect\u00ador of Music. I have learnt a lot dur\u00ading this time and enjoyed so many of the exper\u00adi\u00adences which work\u00ading there has afforded me; the annu\u00adal choir tours (to Prague, Salis\u00adbury &<\/span> Wells, Dub\u00adlin, Can\u00adter\u00adbury &<\/span> Kent and Shrews\u00adbury &<\/span> Chester dur\u00ading my time) have been amongst those high\u00adlights, as have the many ser\u00advices, both great and small, \u2018at home\u2019 in cent\u00adral Cam\u00adbridge. I will miss so many of my col\u00adleagues and won\u00adder\u00adful friends I have made dur\u00ading this time, but look for\u00adward to return\u00ading to vis\u00adit in the future. Before this, I am also look\u00ading for\u00adward to my final sea\u00adson of Advent and Christ\u00admas ser\u00advices at \u2018GSM<\/span>\u2019 (as the loc\u00adals call it) before my last ser\u00advice there on Sunday 7 Janu\u00adary 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n
