It is hard to believe that it\u2019s only three months since my pre\u00advi\u00adous \u2018Happy Christ\u00admas\u2019 post \u2013 there has been so much change packed into that time. Although there are far few\u00ader extern\u00adal events asso\u00adci\u00adated with the run-up to East\u00ader than Christ\u00admas (see my pre\u00advi\u00adous post<\/a>), I find myself, as I write this, approach\u00ading the final pre\u00adpar\u00ada\u00adtions for the ser\u00advices of Holy Week and East\u00ader in much the same way as we were approach\u00ading Christ\u00admas in my pre\u00advi\u00adous news posting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

One of the main dif\u00adfer\u00adences now is that I am approach\u00ading this new church sea\u00adson in a brand new job. Hav\u00ading star\u00adted my new post as Dir\u00adect\u00ador of Music at All Saints\u2019 church, Stam\u00adford in late Janu\u00adary, the choir of All Saints\u2019 and I have been get\u00adting to know each oth\u00ader over the past few months. We have already \u2013 even over the sombre church sea\u00adson of Lent \u2013 enjoyed some won\u00adder\u00adful music mak\u00ading togeth\u00ader, both at the reg\u00adu\u00adlar Sunday Euchar\u00adists, at the spe\u00adcial ser\u00advice for Ash Wed\u00adnes\u00adday and at our first even\u00adsong togeth\u00ader. I am delighted to say that, as we approach the most import\u00adant week in the church year, we are pre\u00adpar\u00ading for a full set of chor\u00adal ser\u00advices through the Tri\u00addu\u00adum up to the cel\u00adeb\u00adra\u00adtions on East\u00ader Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are look\u00ading for\u00adward to con\u00adtrib\u00adut\u00ading our music to the liturgy on Maun\u00addy Thursday even\u00ading (7:30pm), at the Good Fri\u00adday liturgy of the cross (2pm), for the East\u00ader Vigil on Sat\u00adurday even\u00ading (7:30pm), and at the Fest\u00adal Euchar\u00adist on East\u00ader Sunday (10am).
