Benedict Todd

Bene­dict will be par­ti­cip­at­ing in a pan­el dis­cus­sion along­side fel­low com­posers Onur Türk­men, Michael Ellis­on, Neal Far­well, and Mert Kocadayı. This event is part of the Brit­ish Coun­cil sponsored ‘From Word to Sound’ project. 

“The pan­el will work around text music rela­tion in a his­tor­ic­al per­spect­ive, a sur­vey of text set­ting in West­ern Music his­tory, emphas­iz­ing the dif­fer­ence between poetry and drama, and work­ing as a com­poser espe­cially in the con­text of Onur Türk­men work in pro­gress – “Sail­ing to Byz­an­ti­um” on the poetry of Yeats and Haşim.”
